TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prices are based upon the agreed design, flavours and size at the time of booking. Changes to the design, flavours and size cannot be made after the deposit has been paid.
All orders require a deposit via bank transfer to secure a booking date. Transfer details will be provided at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable but are taken from the final balance. Without a deposit the order will not proceed.
Final payment must be paid by the date provided. For wedding cakes this is 2 weeks prior to the date of the event and celebration cakes 1 week before the collection/delivery date.
Bank transfers must be cleared before your order is released for delivery/collection.
Cheques are not accepted for any payment.
Delivery & Collection
As part of the order it is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct delivery details. This includes a full address, including postcode, any restrictions for parking or delivery, ensuring the venue operator is aware of the delivery and access to correct location is available.
Olivia’s Cake Boutique cannot accept responsibility for damage to cakes once they have been delivered or collected and are no longer in our possession.
Orders can be collected from our premises. All cakes will be made structurally fit for travel, however, we cannot be held liable for any damage once the cake has left our premises. Advice will be given on transportation prior to collection.
Unless agreed upon we will not provide supporting items such as linen, stands or bridal knife.
Brides are advised to obtain wedding insurance.
Deposits for cake orders are non refundable. A full payment will be charged if the cancellation is within two weeks to the agreed completion date.
All cancellations must be in writing via email and can only come into effect on receipt, postdated cancellations will not be considered.
Allergens and best before dates
Nuts are used in our kitchen so we cannot guarantee a nut free environment, therefore, cakes may contain traces of nuts. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that anybody with a nut allergy does not eat the cake.
Allergens in sponge cakes will be MILK, EGGS, SOYA and WHEAT
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide details of any allergies at the time of booking.
Cakes are made to be eaten on the day of the agreed collection/delivery date. We cannot guarantee the quality of cakes beyond 48hrs after this date.
Non edible decorations and structures
It is the client’s responsibility to remove (or inform the caterers to remove) any non edible decorations and structure elements before the cake is cut and served to guests. Information will be given on any non edible items.
We reserve the right to make amendments to the agreed design if unusual circumstances related to environment factors may impact the quality of the final design. An example of this would be a chocolate or naked cake that is requested during a period of excessively hot weather. We will aim to discuss any changes if possible and always advise in advance if caution is required.
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform, where such failure or delay results from any circumstances outside our reasonable control including but not limited to, any fire, flood, explosion, accident, adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, mechanical breakdown, obstruction of any private or public highway, riot, government act, act of war, terrorism, act of God, or from any industrial dispute or strike whatsoever.
We will not sell any personal information to any outside business or companies.
Any designs drawn by Olivia’s Cake Boutique are our copyright and cannot be sold, passed on or replicated in any way.
If you have any concerns with your cake, we must be informed at the time of collection or delivery. Any concerns with the cake once it has been cut can be brought to our attention by returning the cake so we can see the issue. The maximum liabilities to be paid will be the total cost of the cake.
